Sweating interior Walls

What causes walls to sweat. An older woman just bought her a house and the walls sweat so much it runs down the walls. could this be from lack of attic venting any suggestions welcomed thank you

Interior walls will sweat if the air inside them is cold, remedy: Insulation. Try blown fiber insulation.

humidity in the house is too high.has nothing to do with attic insulation as the attic itself would be sweating without vents and then dripping trough the drywall into the living space. and you have probably poked your head into the attic to see if any moisture marks or water in the vapour barrier plastic .

you need an exaust fan connected to a humidistat. then it will come on automatically until the humidity is below 40% .or open a window when you shower or make dinner.
