Hi”,Joe, there is one way, which I know works some
      times,and that is run a lentgh of timber ( 4″ x 1″)
along side the joist,( now this is the trick ) screw
ends of the timber to the joist right up tight to the
floorboards, when you’ve done that push it up to the
floorboards with a 3×2, wedged off the ground then
screw the 4 x 1 to the joist every 10″ or so, repete
this along the timber ( move the 3×2 along then screw)
Hope it works it did for me. ….John 2000

      Hi Joe,

You might not believe this but I think you ought to consider leaving them. In due time, the baby will grow out of it. Really, I’m not trying to say I ‘know’ your baby but I kept my squeeks because, well …, if there’s a prowler in the house, I’ll know it!!! (I live in a ‘rough neighborhood’.)

Congratulation on your new ‘addition’! 🙂

I am preparing to replace the linoleum on a kitchen floor. Several places squeak. I have 3/4″ subfloor and 5/8″ flooring under the linoleum. What is the best method of re-securing the floor? House is 10 years old.

      thanks
