Restring a Traverse curtain rod

Renee, I am sorry that you have had two entries and no replies. I am only answering this to let you know that it seems that this problem can only be fixed by buying a new rod. I could not imagine myself restringing this contraption.

I’ve restrung a traverse rod but, when I draw the string, both of the overlap master AND the underlap master travel in the same direction. I’ve removed the string and restrung it 4 times and I can’t figure out what should be different.

Can you tell me what’s wrong?

I want to change my curtain rod to open on one side instead of the middle. It’s a Kirsh rod, and it has the string in it now. Thanks
