      Made an awful mistake 12 years ago and had about 750 sq’ of Bruce wood laminate installed.

      I want to replace it with solid, prefinished hardwood.

      Can the hardwood be installed over the Bruce, or will I have to pay to have it ripped out?

      (adding insult to injury!)

      then you have a good stable sub flooring. With the lamination gone, you have only particle board and glue. I do not like that. Bad for water leaks.
