I want to know what is best when making a concrete patio in a backyard. We had a contractor write up our quote stating he would use rebar but has now switch to wire mesh. He says we wont get any cracks. Any comments on this? Thanks!
Re-bar has the potential to be the strongest reinforcement, but properly installed, wire mesh should be entirely satisfactory for your patio. You won’t be driving heavy machinery (dump trucks, farm tractors, etc) on it will you?
