GuestI am looking for an illustrated reference source,
possibly a reproduction of the original catalogs to
purchase as a resource in the restoration of my 1907(?)
home that is thought to be a Sears Catalog home. Is
anyone aware of in-print books on this topic? -

GuestTry asking your local library for a copy of “Houses by mail: a guide to houses from Sears, Roebuck & Co.” by Katherine Cole Stevenson. It was published by Preservation Press in 1986 and has 365 pages, so chances are good it will have your house.

GuestYou may want to check out the
http://www.arts-crafts.com website.
Use their search engine to look up
“Sears Bungalow” and it will pull up lots
of information for you. They have a list
of reference books that can tie you
directly to the bookseller.
Have fun! -
