GuestWe’re in the same boat, but after reviewing the heating effect of the covers
we are going to sand blast the paint off and paint with metal radiator paint to
leave a bright finish. Dull paint with covers waste tons of money. We are
building front faces that are 8 inches off the floor and have an oak frame
with metal grid fronts, but no top – only using where we need a
block from the front – good luck. David -

GuestTom – You may want to think about building your own. There was an artice in the Nov-Dec 1996 (pg 12-17) issue of “American How-To” magazine. They used red oak in what I would call an “arts and crafts” type style.

GuestI make custom affordable radiator folding screens. They are made to cover the front and a portion of the sides of radiators. I make them out of homosote covered with a fabric of your choice (either yours or ours), to the dimensions of your radiator. I use decorative hinges and ship them anywhere in the country. Please e mail if you would like to see pictures and prices, which include shipping. Thank you
