Putting Stucco on Wire Mesh

I just closed an existing opening with 2×4’s and plywood.
I want to apply stucco to the plywood.

I need any help I can get !!!!

screw dimpled galvanized lathe over tyvek stapled to the plywood,dimples in! apply brown coat of masonry cement and sand to within 3/8 of inch of old stucco. scratch the surface well and keep wet(cover with plastic)
Have fun the next day using rich mixture of plaster to recreate your stucco!

Could you please answer this question…….on wire meah for stucco which directon is the wire to go on.There are rough edges in one direction…if rubbing your hand in down direction should it be rougher then if you rubbed your hand up over it,Thanks a milion.
