I just removed paneling from my kitchen. It was installed using glue. I now would like to remove the glue so that I can paint the walls. I am not sure how to proceed. The walls are plaster and I don’t want to mess them up. Is there a chemical I can use to loosen and remove it? Or is sanding and then oil based primer the best method? If sanding is the best method, what kind of sander should I use?

THERE IS ADHESIVE REMOVER IN THE PAINT DEPT AT HOME DEPOT AND LOWES. YOU PUT IN ON AND LEAVE IT SIT FOR 2 HOURS AND SCRAPE IT OFF.

You may want to try using a paint electric HEAT gun. Carefully heat up the glue and try peeling back off the surface with a putty knife. Hope this works for ya.

      Good Luck 🙂
