Painting vinyl shutters

I want to paint existing dark green vinyl shutters with the same color. The shutters are in good shape but have been bleached by direct sunlight. I am looking for tips on prepping the shutters and paint types.

to rid of the debris and gunk, then a light sanding MIGHT be needed, but mostly does not, Then I would use a good quality exterior latex paint, priming is not needed.

i would like to paint my vinyl shutters. my husband says i cant, want to know what to do to get the paint to adhere correctly.

I have a manufactured home. Outside walls are vinyl siding, with white shutters. Can these shutters be painted?
