We added an addition to our house and even though we tried to match the shingle color, it still doesn’t look good. Does anyone have any experience painting asphalt shingles? I really need some advice here.
My take on this idea is do not do it. I spilled some paint on a couple of asphalt shingles while painting above them and within a couple of years the area with the spilled paint had cracked badly. I also feel sure that were you to paint the shingles, it would void any manufacturers warranty.
