Painting a Log Fireplace

I have a log home with a prefab fireplace. I am in the process of staining the home with Sikkens. I must clean, pressure wash, stain, seal the fireplace. I have a steep pitch metal roof. How do I do this myself without killing myself falling off the roof?

A professional. Or, if your lay on the land allows, rent a manlift or erect scaffolding.

Whatever you do, play it safe! Killing yourself is one thing. Becoming paralized from the neck down and someone else having to care for you the rest of your life is another.
