      I bought a beautiful Hamptons Bay Ceiling fan it works really well but is extreamly noisy. The faster the speed the noisier the engine. Iit is so noisy that it is imposible to sleep with it running at anything but the lowest speed. Before i douse it with WD40 are there any suggestions, and is there an exact location where i should direct/spray the oil? Any help wpuld be greatly appreciated. Thanks

      WD is a solvent….not a lube……
      a spray (silicone) lube would be a better choice…..

      But first maybe give HamptonBay a call…..seems thy’re out “westtimezone”…..
