We recently put a large fence around our back yard for our dogs and we want to find a non toxic wood presevative to coat it with. I was told that a mixture of baking soda and water would work but the person wasn’t sure of the proportions. If anyone knows of this or any thing else we can make or buy that is safe around pets please let us know
      Thanks

What can I use to safely treat wooden planks for enclosing raised beds for edible vegetables? I’d really appreciate it if someone could guide me in this area.

      Thanks,

      Bob

We recently bought a large garden shed.It was recomended we treat it again with an oil based preservative within 3 months. All the large DIY places only seem to sell water based preservatives. Does anyone know the name of any oil based products that could be used, please let me know

      Thanks

      Hello,

Arsenic is the toxic chemical that was used for years in the pressure treated wood industry. Most wood today does not contain arsenic. If you want to know if your wood contains toxic arsenic, go to: http://www.arsenichometest.com

      Good luck!
