Where I live, many of the homeowners are switching to renewable heat sources like geothermal for all their heating and cooling. The ROI is typically 5-6 years.
I have a Lennox. But my main reason for buying it was the reputation of the installer.
Other makes such as Carrier, Trane, etc, are also good, just make sure you get at least a 92% unit and the contractor is reputable.
