We will be replacing our kitchen countertops soon and there is a window by the sink. The window sill is only 2″ above the present countertop which is just a sheet of formica glued atop the plywood cabinet top. I will pull the formica off the cabinet top, then fit the new countertop on top of this, leaving the plywood there. My question is what to do around the window; should I leave the back splashguard on the new countertop full height and above the window sill or cut it to fit under the sill? I hope you can understand what I’m describing. Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks. TedK

my thoughts are it just wouldn’t look right it it were blocking any part of the window.
