We purchased a Neptune washer in 1997, today it went to the junk. It needed a door lock switch, control boared and new bearing. It cost me $42 to have a Maytag repair man tell me it would cost about $600 to repair. When the door switch goes bad it takes the control board out with it. The switch causes a resister in the control board to burn out ( about a .05 cent item) but they say they must replace the whole board $170 item. There will never be another Maytag product in my house. Anyone sueing Maytag let me know

That’s funny (well, not really)…I just went through the same thing with my 3000 series. I junked mine too. Someone did tell me there was a lawsuit. Put “Maytag Neptune” into Google, and you should find it. There is a statute of limitations, though…I think I missed it, because they didn’t reply to me.
