Moen Shower Faucet Handle Replacement

I have never done any plumbing and have no one to do this for me. Part of the plastic/lucite of the (one single turn handle) shower handle has cracked off and I want to replace it. Is this easy to do? Can you buy just the handle part? Do I have to remove and replace a cartridge? Is this something I’ll need to hire a plumber for?

All you have to do is go to the lowes or Home Depot near you with the part or discription of it and they should be able to help you with this.
