marble tile in bethroom — sealant

We are in the process of laying botticino semi classico honed marble on the bathroom floor and on the shower walls. After laying the tile, should we seal it? If so, with what? Thanks for your reply.

The answer is yes you should seal the marble, and there are many different brand sealers on the market made for unglazed stone. Try your local tile dealer.

I have had a travertine marble shower installed in a new addition to my house. I would like to know what the recommendations are for waterproofing? I have heard that their are expoxy’s that are considered durable and effective. Where do I find out what to use and where to get it? Thanks, Hugh

Hi,

Recently I had food poisoning and threw up on my marble bathroom floor. Although the marble is dark brown, it was stained by the vomit. i.e. you can see the blotches of where the vomit landed. How can I remove the stains.
