      I need to swap out the cylinders from 2 Ultra 800 locks (vintage 1982), one a double cylinder and the other a single cylinder with a thumbturn on the inside. I can’t find any set screws, even on the thumbturn, and there are no screws or anything readily accessible behind the deadbolt plate, at least not that I can see. I would appreciate any suggestions from someone acquainted with these locks.

      Start at the lockset at the door edge….

      Remove the decorative plate……under that you will find a setscrew(s)…….back the screw(s) out and you’ll be able to unscrew the deadbolt on the face of the door…….

      YMMV

      I’m no locksmith…..I’ve only dealt with ONE problem deadbolt……..

      Did you read the previous “LINK” about the Long 3/32″ allen wrench ?
