      what is the pros and cons.there is lanolium on now and we are doing a subfloor..

      Lanolium is usually cheaper, easier to maintain and if it is a good quality it last a long time. Tile is generally more appealing but can require high maintenance.

      Only my opinion.

      There is very little linoleum available now adays. What most people refer to as linoleum is really sheet vinyl. If done correctly both are valid choices. The key is who is doing the work. If you hire professionals, there is very little difference in upkeep. If it is a do it yourself project that is a different matter. Putting down large sheets of vinyl (sometimes referred to as linoleum) is almost an art. If it is a big area or one with a lot of twist and turns, it makes sense to hire a professional installer.
