I have kitchen cabinets that were laminated many
years ago. Is it possible to remove the laminate so
that I can refinish or repaint the cabinets?

Weston, yes you can remove the laminate with acetone.
Work in from the edge squirting in a little at a time
as you work the laminate up with a putty knive.
With the laminate off, you might want to reface rather
than paint. Herrick Kimball has recently published
book on the subject: Refacing Cabinets, Making an
Old Kitchen New. The techique is quite accessable
to the DIY and produces far better results than
any other method I know of. Youd can check it out
      at http://www.taunton.com/books/fh/refacing.htm.

Just trying to learn methods of bending laminates in the construction of a deepsink cabinet. It seems that heat must be applied to keep it from breaking during the process.

I am looking for someone to make small orders (1-6 a month)of a special cabinet I sell. I can supply photes and prints of these “Flat Files” used to store blue prints. Does anyone need some fill in work?
