I plan on replacing my kitchen cabinets. I have no idea how to remove the cabinets from above the countertops. I see no nails which could have been installed. Am I missing something? Help!!!

Look for screws at the top and bottom of the cabinets, they may have wood plugs covering them.

Another possibility, if they are really old cabinets, is that they were “Built in place”.

I just completed removing all of my cabinets that were original from 64, they were only hanging on the walls by 3 inch finishing nails, All I had to do was use a flat pry bar and a hammer to get behind them use a flat piece of wood about 6 inches or more to pry onto once cabinets are loose they pry them off, I also used a sawzall/hacksaw blade to cut nails between cabinets so i didnt destroy the old cabinets.
