Kenmore Washer will not drain water out of tub

I have top load kenmore washer that will not drain the water out when it is time to empty the water out. What is the problem? thanks, bill zettler

Washer was running fine. I was washing a pillow. In the spin cycle washer became unbalanced. As I was getting to it, it stopped. The next load will not drain out the water. Any suggestions?
