      Can I replace the basic thermostat (simple round one)
      without a Clock/timer, with one with a clock/timer

      Our thermostat must have a wire connected incorrectly….when we turn the heat/cool to off and the fan to on, both the fan and air conditioner come on. Any idea which two wires are hooked up incorrectly? Or is it a problem at the furnace level? this is all electric heat/cool.
