I accidently made a small pin hole in the copper propane line coming out of my propane tank with my chain saw. You can’t even see the hole but I can smell the propane. I am trying to fix it without my wife finding out. What can I use to repair it, J.B. Weld? Please help or my wife will take my chain saw away(I’m serious).

      Thank you,

      Jason

DONT’T fool around with this! Have the copper line replaced immeadiately! Shut off the gas valve on the tank until the repair can be made. Call the people that fill your tank, and have then arrange the repair or recommend a plumber.

Propane is heavier than air, can seep into the ground, find its way into your house and, cause a fire/explosion. This exact thing happened to a family about 60 miles from where I live and it killed several people in the family.

      DO IT NOW!

      Please,

Shut off the tank Valve and call the Fire Dept and your local Plumber.
