I have a ceramic (porcelain) tile floor going in a bath. I would like an opinion:
Where the tile goes up against the tub, should one grout the gap between the tile and the tub (approximately 3/16 inch) or leave the gap empty and fill it with siicone caulk?

I would caulk the gap. Sometimes when the tub is filled or people stand on it, the tub will move a bit. The caulk will allow slight movement, while grout will crack.

I think I would go with the silicone caulk too.

Dodgeman, all these M symbols are driving me nuts. You need to fill the gap with grout and caulk over the top to provide the flexible seal….but you probably already knew that. One good thing, at least we can correct spelling now!
