I live in Edmonton. Been thinking about installing new windows in my garage. The old windows are getting damaged day by day. Some are already broken, so I want to replace them soon.

It’s a detached garage with six windows in it. My garage is not heated or insulated. I would like two or three windows to have the ability to open. And the rest of em non-opening windows. I don’t think they need to be anything special like double insulated or anything fancy at all. Just a single slider window is enough. Found a few ones from here: https://www.canglow.ca
      Please suggest your options.

One of my friends suggested that the easiest way to put new windows in existing window openings is to remove the sash, then install a custom replacement unit in the old frame. Is this method good?
