finishing hard wood floors

we have 50 year old hard wood floors (oak); they’re in excellent shape. to sand off the old finish in order to prepare for the staining and poly finish what grit sand paper should i use: 36-60-100 or 36-80-100.

Go with the 36-60-100. There is too much gap between the 36 and 80 and not much of a gap between 80 and 100 for optimum scratch removal.
