Two baseboard heaters in my home stopped working recently. Because this happened once before, I replaced the circuit breakers (all of them) in the main power box in the cellar. About half of the old circuit breakers were quite corroded and had some oxidation/rust at the connector site. (My cellar is very damp.) Any way, one of the two baseboards worked after this and the other has not come back on-line. The breakers did not and have not flipped. The thermostat on the non-functional baseboard “clicks” when I turn it, as though it was on and heating up…but it isn’t. Any ideas what might be wrong with this one heater? All the baseboards were installed at the same time, maybe 20 years ago. Thanks.

got a circut tester or a voltmeter?

test the pigtails at the heaters with thermostat all the way up, first only because you have a click or else i would say test the breakers first

then after testing the 2 things above if no results, test the thermostat

      you should have your answer
