Is there a way to undue this mistake? Background: we had a contractor haul in stones for our driveway. We ordered too many stones for the amount of driveway we have. Even worse, the stones we ordered were too big, so that traction is an issue. When winter comes, I can only imagine the problems we will then have.

Would like a solution that does not involve removing the stones and starting over! Casual advisors have suggested materials that we might add to the stones to make them more “adherent” to one another and thus get rid of the lack of traction problem.

Anxious to read solutions that others have to offer.

      Thanks!

my first impression is to remove the stones and start over. but, if you could give more info, maybe we can help. what size rock?, who determined the size delivered?, how deep are they laid?, is it a flat d-way or sloped? are the stones rounded?, where are you located?

I have about 1000 sq feet of asphalt to resurface.

Do you have a rule of thumb for what it should cost??

Spec: Install primer/bonder to old asphalt

Machine lay 2″( compacted) fine surface asphalt.

      Compact with roller.
