Is Trex (Canadian product) and Trek (American product) decking material the same thing?

Can old wood deck be covered/coated with something that makes it unnecessary to clean/seal?

The wooden decks are too hard and expensive for me to keep up.

Hi Eva-

The answer to your first question is no. And unfortunately, the answer to the second question is an emphatic “no”!

There is nothing out there yet that can be applied (short of the plastic deck covers) that will let you slide with the upkeep.
