      Im using composit decking for the floor on my deck around my pool. Should I put screws in this stuff just like regular wood??

      but whatever you choose use stainless or zinc coated or electroplated. when screwing towards the ends it is best to predrill the holes.

      I personally do not work with synthetic material, but I know you can either nail or screw the material down. If nailing use a ring shanked, hot dipped in glue and galv.

      Screwing allows you to remove the material for some reason and neatly re apply it. Nailing will not allow this lux.

      I found something I like better than DeckMate screws. A local lumber yard has a brand called ProFit with a torx drive. They grip a whole lot better than a square head. I actually tried to strip one and I couldn’t! And they’re the same price as DeckMate.
