I’m having a concrete slab poured that we will be placing a shed on. It will be about 12′ x 12′. When placing the forms, the diagonal measurements were off by about 2 1/2 inches. The contractor said this was okay and normal. In my logic, it won’t be square unless the diagonals measure accurately also (he didn’t have a cornering tool). Before I go any further with this, could someone advise me? Thanks!

You’re correct……the building will be difficult to assemble on the problem slab………

Here’s some “square” information……Scroll down to the bottom of the page……..

For a 12×12 foot slab, your diagionals should measure 16.97 feet.
Or, put another way, 16 feet, 11 and 21/32inches.
      Good Luck!
