I have the same question that several others have posted, but I can not find an answer. In replacing my ceiling fan light, the fan switch broke. I bought a four-hole switch to replace the broken one, but now the fan will not switch off. What does one do now?
This website shows the four connections of the switch AND it shows how the “Reverse Switch” swaps one winding in the motor to go the other direstion. At the bottom of the page, it shows a square diagram with the numbers of each connection. On each pull, it shows which connections are tied together. This is the first diagram that I have seen on how the fan switch operates. Good job..
Adios.. Jasper.
