      We bought a Hampton Bay ceiling fan model #654 451 140 254. We also bought a remote kit #SKU 191-691 to install with the fan. This is the remote that was to in the literature that came with the fan. But the remote won’t fit in the ceiling canopy. What is solution to this problem?

      The reciever should lie flat side up in the mounting brack (black?) where the down rod goes. and then the canopy goes over that.

      H Arby,

      You didn’t mention it but did you talk to Home Depot (which is where my $$$ says you bought it)? Also, there may be Customer Support info in the paperwork that was provided to you.
