The pilot light has gone out, and will not stay lit, no matter how long I hold down the switch on the Honeywell valve. It burns as long as it is depressed, then goes out.

      Is there a simple fix?

The usual cause is a need for a new thermocouple. Simple is a matter of knowledge and experience.

I have a two level house. With a thermostat upstairs and down. It got up to 90 upstairs and I thought that the thermostat was out. I replaced it but it didn’t change the temp. I went in the basement and the furnace was leaking on the outer motor. Can you tell me what could be causing it?
