      i need to make a small repair to a blown on ceiling. how do i go about this? thanks for any help.

      I have water stains on my ceiling, I fixed the leak, but have ugly stains up there. It is the bumpy, blown ceiling type. I tried to paint it and it crumbled down. Any suggestions.
