I checked all fuses inside the house and on the unit. pulled the panel to see if a wire had come loose because the unit wouldn’t turn on. When I got in there everything looked good. I saw what looked to me as a reset switch it pushes in and its black and kind of looks like a W. anyways if I push that in the unit turns on but once I let it go the unit turns off. I hope you can help me!!

What you are decribing may be the contactor – don’t know. In any case do you have low voltage trying to pull in the contactor? It will click in and hum a bit. If the contactor isn’t pulling in then the problem is in the house.
