Wiring Switch

Run cable#1 from light fixture to switch box.
Run cable#2 from switch box to outlet.
At Light fixture connect cable#1 black wire to the fixture and white wire to the fixture. At the switch box, connect cable#1 black wire to one side of switch. Connect cable#1 white wire to cable#2 white wire. Connect cable#2 black wire to other side of the switch. At the outlet, connect cable#2 White wire to outlet white wire and black wire to outlet black wire. These wires are pigtailed together in the back of the box with the cable going to the power panel. Be sure to connect the ground wires.
