Unfortunately Windsor is difficult to deal with but the biggest problem is something called “The Economic Loss Doctrine” This is a rule of law in most states that prevents you from suing a manufacturer of a defective product if the warranty has expired. It turns out that most homeowners policies also do not pay for manufacturers defects. This means if you have a defective product you probably have no recourse. Your insurance won’t pay if it’s defective and your state will not allow you to sue if the warranty has expired. Don’t buy products with limited dutration warranties like Windsor windows. I learned a hard lesson from my Windsor windows.
