tub surround glue

can I used the hardibacker panel to glue

a tub surround into.

I have the bath tub wall with hardiback panel,

I’m planing to buy ether ABS American tub

surround or Crane Pluming, but both installation

manual that I print from the internet web

onlu recomend drywall.

Please advice.
