Sub-floor/underlayment

Alan, plywood flooring is generally intended as
one of two types: sub-floor and underlayment as
seperate layers or one combined sub-floor/underlayment
layer. If underlayment was not intended, it sounds
as though the wrong panels were chosen. If it was,
that’s the next step. How uneven are the edges? The
T&G should keep them pretty close.
