Duke, we know exactly what riverhawk is talking about. It is because we allow unregistered and unsigned in registered users to post on our site. We believe this provides for the most open of forums and gives visitors the opportunity to add their two cents on the fly. Unfortunately we are in a constant battle with forum spammers who post links to porn or cell phone ring tones or other unrelated topics. Not that we would remove any valid question on any subject. However there is a difference between someone asking how to program a cell phone and someone trying to sell you a ring-tone. We actually delete or prevent the postings of hundreds of messages a day and our moderators like Dan O and Doug help us to spot and mark these messages. Unfortunately these spammers have basically unlimited resources and post from multiple proxy servers. They use scripts and workarounds to make it easier for them to post. We are going to attempt a fix soon to help prevent some of this spam. But it may slow down unregistered users as well. Or prevent some people from posting. But hopefully it will help stop some of these forum violators.
