Have recently purchased a home that has blonde parkay flooring bumped up against walnut parkay flooring with nothing to separate it except the color from one finish to another. (No walls – just the difference in flooring). Of course, this looks AWFUL. We have been told that it can be refinished to bring it all to one color – our color preference is MEDIUM OAK. How do we do this and what do we need. There is old glue on the floor which I would imagine is will come up in the sanding process for refinishing (Right??) – so the glue issue should become obsolete. HELP! I am ready to get started and do not know where to start. Your response will be appreciated.
