Tiffany, for paint for wood and walls, soap and water usually works for most primers. For the primer for the kinds of paint usually used for metal, a waterless hand cleaner will help release it. This would be brand names like Go-Jo, Fast Orange, Goop and a bunch of others. You can get these a most Big Box stores, home centers, auto parts places and the like.
You do not have to be too concerned because the oil in your skin will not allow paint to stick well or for long.
