Banging pipes is not a symptom of debris in the pipe. The banging is usually caused by what is called “water hammer” which is caused by the the rapid deceleration of the water inside the pipes. This shows up where a faucet of appliance shuts off the water quickly. Appliances shuch as washers, and dishwashers will do this.
To eliminate it, first try draining and refilling the system. Shut off the main water inlet valve to the house and then open all the faucets, showers, turn on the clothes washer and dishwasher for a couple of minutes. Then close and shut off everything and turn on the main water valve again. Slowly turn on all the faucets to bleed out the excess air. This process will refill any water hammer arrestors that may have been built into the plumbing system. If that doesn’t work, you may have to have water hammer arrestors installed to stop the banging.
I would not clamp the pipes tight in the walls. If you clamp them tight, the expansion and contraction of the piping in the clamps will make creaking sounds that will in my opinion be worse than the banging.
Good Luck!
