I assume this maple loom isn’t painted, if so I would just give it a coat or two of shellac. A clear shellac will give it a slight golden hue and an amber shellac will give it an orange-ish hue. I would thin down the first coat with denatured alcohol so it so it soaks deep into the wood. Or to make it easier, you can get shellac in spray cans.
