Holes in clothes

** 2 1/2 year old Kenmore washer **

Top load? front load?? It might also help if you posted the machine’s model number so we can find out what design if it.

** has been eating small holes in all my jeans and some of my white clothes. I’m not sure what is causing this, can anyone help me? **

Are you sure it’s the washer and not the dryer? You’ve seen the holes before loading in the dryer??

If you are and it is a top loading washer, take an old pair of pantyhose and wipe the center agitator (especially the bottom edge) and tub’s top splash guard. If there are any snags which could cause holes in clothing, they will surely snag on pantyhose so you can isolate them.
