Gas Line to Fireplace

Dear Andrew;
There are screwed joints in this piping system that is buried in the walls and ceiling since 1920. Is this a correct statement? You will have to hire a certified gas contractor , who is familiar with local codes.

He may have to repipe the gasline using copper tubing or stainless steel tubing like “Tracpipe” (niffty stuff) only joints are at either end.
